Pan feeder
A pan feeder, also known as a vibratory feeder or vibratory pan feeder, is a device used to feed materials in a controlled manner. It consists of a vibratory drive unit that generates vibrations, a tray or pan that is attached to the drive unit and a set of springs or other vibration dampening elements.
The pan feeder works by vibrating the tray or pan, which causes the material to move forward in a controlled way. The vibrations can be adjusted to control the feed rate and ensure that the material is evenly distributed across the width of the pan. The pan feeder can also be used to convey materials over short distances, such as from a storage hopper to a processing machine.
Pan feeders are commonly used in industries such as mining, construction, and chemical processing to feed materials such as ores, minerals, and chemicals. They are particularly useful when handling materials that are difficult to handle, such as sticky or abrasive materials.
There are different types of pan feeders available, including electromagnetic, electromechanical and pneumatic pan feeders. The type of pan feeder used depends on the specific application and the requirements of the material being fed.
